Grass Pilot Experiment to Evaluate the Impact of Nurture Growth Biofertilizer on Plant Development

A pilot experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of Nurture Growth Biofertilizer (NGB) on grass seed germination, early plant growth, and root development. The study compared NGB-treated plants with untreated controls under the same growing conditions.
Grass seeds were sown in experimental boxes at a rate of 50 g per box. Two replications were maintained for both the NGB-treated and untreated control groups.
Plant growth parameters, including plant height, fresh biomass, and root development, were analyzed to determine the influence of NGB application on overall plant growth. The results from this study will provide insights into the potential of NGB in improving seed establishment, vegetative growth, and root system development.

Observation on Plant Height
Plant height was measured by randomly selecting 10 plants from each experimental box at the time of observation. Measurements were recorded separately for each replication of the NGB-treated (T1 and T2) and untreated control (C1 and C2) groups. The average plant height for each replication was calculated and used for comparison between treatments.
The Nurture Growth Biofertilizer (NGB)-treated grass plants exhibited greater average plant height than the untreated control. Across the two replications, the mean plant height was 18.35 cm in the NGB-treated group compared with 17.33 cm in the control, representing an increase of approximately 5.9%. These findings suggest that NGB promoted early vegetative growth and enhanced plant vigor during the initial stages of development.

Observation on Fresh Weight
The aboveground grass biomass was harvested by cutting the plants uniformly at the same height above the soil surface for both the treated and control groups. Immediately after harvesting, the fresh weight of each replicate was measured using an electronic balance, and the values were recorded in grams (g). The mean fresh weight for each treatment was calculated and used for comparison. The treated plants exhibited a slightly greater fresh biomass than the control plants, indicating a positive response to the treatment.

Observation in root growth:
Visual assessment of the root system revealed that the Nurture Growth Biofertilizer treated plants developed darker, deeper, and more extensively branched root systems, with increased secondary root growth compared with the untreated control. In addition, the soil surrounding the treated plants appeared darker, better aggregated, and had a more favorable texture than the control soil. These observations indicate improved root establishment and suggest enhanced soil biological activity in response to NGB application.

This pilot study suggests that Nurture Growth Biofertilizer positively influenced early turf grass establishment by improving plant height, fresh biomass, root architecture, and overall soil condition. Although additional replicated trials and statistical analyses are required to confirm these findings, the results indicate that biological fertilizers have promising potential to support sustainable turf management through enhanced root growth and soil biological activity.
